Dear Julia,

I love your words and your work. A parent once said "I don't know why my kids turned out so differently, I raised them all the same." That, my dear, is the problem. They all need something different. Here's to the mothers who ride that ferris wheel on a daily basis, and stay grounded while looking at the stars. I love you so much. xoxo Lori

I'm blown away - as I often am by your writing. And I'm also in tears. Thank you - I needed that.

This is beautiful, Julia! Did you write it yourself? I guess so, from what I see. I thank you for these kind words that apply to me, although we have never met. :-) Happy Mother's Day to you too!

I love Sophia Academy for its teaching. What an opportunity the school has in teaching this youngest grandson of mine. Since he tried to fix my refrigerator a few years ago to his trying to explain to me how to play a game on his Ipad then on to a Blue Ribbon! It does not surprise me at all! Love that boy.

This made me teary. I am SO PROUD and SO HAPPY for Gage. That sounds like he used all the skills you struggled with for so long and used them well. He looks so good too. The first thing I noticed (besides the blue ribbon of course) is his relaxed, comfortable posture.

If Destination Imagination is something available down there Gage would love it. I did it 20 years ago and I'm sure there have been changes, but it is creative problem solving like that. It used to be that they had multiple problems a team could have, one of which was repeated annually--how much weight can the balsa wood structure hold, lots of building cars for different things, etc.
